We aim to provide a high level of quality primary care in a friendly, pleasant and informal environment. The relationship between a Patient and the Surgery is an important one. In order that our relationship can flourish we need to understand what we can reasonably expect from each other. For our part we undertake to:
1. Make the care of you, the patient, our first concern
2. Treat every patient politely and with consideration
3. Respect a patient’s dignity and privacy
4. Listen to patients and respect their views
5. Provide information in a way which is easily understood
6. Involve patients as fully as possible in decisions about their care
7. Keep our professional knowledge and skills up to date
8. Recognise our limits of professional competence
9. Be honest and trustworthy
10. Be willing to justify our actions
11. Make sure our personal beliefs do not prejudice patients’ care
12. Work with colleagues in the ways that best serve patients’ interests
13. Respect and protect confidential information
