Southbourne surgery undertook a patient survey during December 2011.  After consultation with our Patient Participation Group (PPG) we decided to use the same format of survey as in previous years and the results of the survey can be found by clicking here 

From the patient survey we identified priorities by email correspondance between the PPG and have developed an action plan which can be found by clicking here

We always welcome new members to our PPG, which is currently run by email correspondence, to try to encompass the views of a good cross section of our patient population. 

Our PPG are all volunteers and have been either approached by the surgery to ask for their help or have responded to notices & newsletters. We currently have representatives from the following groups:

-          Parents of young children

-          Parents of teenagers

-          Under and over 65s

-          Male and female

-          Carers

-          Nursing home managers

-          Patients with mobility problems

-          Patients with chronic, long tem illnesses

-          British & Non – British patients

A reminder:

Southbourne Surgery is open for appointments from 8.15am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

We also offer 3 early morning surgeries, 7am to 8am on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. All appointments during these times are pre-booked with a doctor only, the doors do not open for general queries until 8.15am.

Telephone lines are open:

Monday - Friday 8.30am  - 6.30pm for general calls

Monday - Friday 8am - 8.30am for emergencies only

Telephone lines are diverted to our out of hours service between the hours of 6.30pm & 8am Monday - Friday and all over the weekend and bank holidays.

We are closed weekends and Bank Holidays.  

Occasionally we will close for routine matters to enable staff training.
